Art has always been more than creative expression. It is a way to sustain culture, strengthen identity, and carry our stories forward. Across Native communities, young artists are honoring their people while bringing fresh perspectives and new voices to Indigenous art.
At First American Art Magazine, we believe these emerging artists—and the people and programs supporting them—deserve to be celebrated.
We’re now accepting nominations for Indigenous youth artists (ages 20 and under) as well as Native youth arts programs, schools, workshops, camps, scholarships, contests, exhibitions, mentorships, and other opportunities that inspire and nurture the next generation of Native creatives. They should be Indigenous people of the Americas or direct descendants.
Whether you’re a parent, teacher, mentor, program leader, or a young artist ready to share your own work, we invite you to submit a nomination. We want to highlight the people and organizations helping Indigenous youth discover their talents, deepen their cultural connections, and build bright, creative futures.
Selected nominations may be featured in First American Art Magazine, on our website, and across our social media channels.
Together, let’s recognize the artists who are shaping tomorrow and the communities investing in their success. We can’t wait to see who you nominate!
